When is the best time to book a vacation?
Since almost all travel costs are dependent on availability and the rules of supply and demand, timing is the most important part of budgeting for a vacation.
In an ideal world, it is best to plan and book the different vacation components more then 120 days out. At this phase several vendors will offer early booking discounts.
On the other hand, when you get to less then 60 days, vendors will start raising the rates as availability starts to run low.
If you wait and book with less than 30 days before your desired travel date. You can expect to pay double (or more) then you would have paid at the 120 days point in time.
